IntroductionThe Church of Jesus Christ is the bridgehead of the Kingdom of God on earth. Thus the Church has a divine mandate and responsibility to demonstrate the wisdom and creativity of God in providing solutions to the issues of poverty, deprivation, ignorance and diseases plaguing humanity. The International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) established the Central Education Trust in 1988 to provide financial assistance to brilliant but needy students at the secondary, vocational and technical education level as a safety net for the increasingly vulnerable youth desirous of pursuing post-basic education. However, in 1996, Central Education Trust was rebranded as Central Aid (CA) and its scope of operations expanded to include relief services, social and community development, advocacy, and career guidance and counseling.
CA is a human development-oriented non-profit agency of ICGC with the mandate to coordinate and implement the church’s social intervention, action and development programmes for the benefit of our people, institutions, communities and the nation at large.
