About Us

Central Aid has been involved in the award of educational scholarships to brilliant but needy students in Secondary, Technical and Vocational Institutions in Ghana since its establishment as an educational trust in 1988 with the first intake of beneficiaries in the 1989/90 academic year. Central Aid in awarding scholarships does not discriminate on account of gender, religion, ethnicity, disability or denomination. Indeed, the bulk of scholarships awarded over the years has gone to students with no connection whatsoever with the International Central Gospel Church. Since the first intake of Fifty-Two (52) beneficiaries in the 1989/90 academic year up till the last intake of Two Hundred (200) beneficiaries in the 2013/2014 academic year, Central Aid has awarded educational scholarships to Two Thousand Five Hundred and Sixty (2,560) brilliant but needy students. Currently, there are Three Hundred and Nineteen (319) beneficiaries on the scheme pursuing their secondary education in One Hundred and Eighty Four (184) Senior High Schools in the country. Two Hundred (200) new beneficiaries will be brought onboard the scheme in the 2014/2015 academic year. Indeed, it is planned to extend the award to cover brilliant but needy students who gain admission to the School of Applied Sciences at the Central University College with effect from the 2014/2015 academic year.
